The capital city of the Republic of Korea, Seoul, is facing a turning point in Social welfare. Seoul introduced a Seoul-type basic livelihood security system and has anticipatively responded to welfare issues by enhancing support for those who are new targets as welfare receivers such as the youth, the generation over 50 years old, and irregular workers. From now on, Seoul has to advance the quality of social welfare by focusing on citizens' needs. Seoul Welfare Foundation will play a central role in the change.

Seoul Welfare Foundation is implementing studies, project planning and development, evaluation and support for welfare facilities, incuvating pilot programs for enhancing citizens’ welfare rights and for supporting welfare fields. We will work hard to promote welfare policies to make better lives for citizens and better services of welfare facilities, and will be a bridge of Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul City Council and welfare fields for better social welfare for Seoul citizens.

In addition, we will do our best to run this foundation’s homepage to be a online communication place with citizens of Seoul.
