What is Neighborhood-Oriented Welfare
Center Change Support Project?

It is a project that helps community social welfare centers adopt a community-oriented perspective, and develop resident-directed welfare projects based on resident participation and sustainable welfare communities.

Project target and details

Project target: Comprehensive social welfare centers, seniors welfare centers, and welfare centers for the disabled in Seoul
Project details
  • Redefining the function of welfare centers by adopting a community-oriented perspective
  • Developing and executing community-oriented projects which rearrange the existing projects through resident participation
  • Reinforcing workers’ capacities by fostering a community-oriented perspective, and receiving practical training
  • Establishing a community welfare network between execution institutions

  • 1st year: Improvement of community power of welfare
    • Internal transformation toward a neighborhood-oriented welfare center
  • 2nd year: Reinforcement of
    welfare power of the community
    • Internal transformation toward a neighborhood-oriented welfare center
    • Development and execution of resident-led welfare projects
  • 3rd year: Reinforcement of promotional power of community welfare
    • Establishment of neighborhood-oriented welfare centers
    • Reinforcement of network as the base of welfare ecosystem
